Sponge began gaming when he was ten years old on his Nintendo 64 and Playstation 1. He started participating in MLG Gamebattle matches when he was around 14 years old and continued into adulthood.
Sponge was inspired to attempt live streaming by Dr. Disrespect, as he is a huge fan of his. He started out streaming on Mixer in June 2019 as ‘iiSpongeAlot,’ where he mainly played fps titles like PUBG, COD, and Fortnite. However, he later switched to Twitch when Mixer shut down in June 2020 and then attempted moving over YouTube Gaming in September 2022 for a coupe of months before transitioning to Kick on December 8, 2022. He was able to change his handle to ‘Sponge’ a month later. By the end of March 2023, he had attracted 5,000 followers thanks to his efforts at networking, despite continuing to work full-time as a bank manager.
